Surgeon Cuffs
A lot of the buttons on the cuffs of suits off the rack are just cosmetic. They don’t actually work. They are a nod to the past when they actually worked. Doctors and surgeons of the day would unbutton their suit jacket cuffs which is why we call them sugeon cuffs today. They are also known as Operational Cuffs.
